Dr Sarah Jarvis

Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE

Lead Medical Adviser

Sarah is a GP, GP trainer and fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and past chair of the Health Care Committee of HEART UK (the cholesterol charity). She is also a medical writer and broadcaster.

For over 16 years, Sarah has been the resident doctor to the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2. She also appears on LBC, BBC Radio 4, Radio 5 live and Good Morning Britain. In 2011 she became Clinical Consultant to the patient website and became their Clinical Director in 2017.

Alexandra Tobin MSc, MCSP

Clinical Governance Adviser & Governance
Committee Chair

Alex is an experienced health service leader and clinician who has clarity of purpose and who is able to constructively engage people in addressing challenging governance issues relating to clinical quality, risk and patient safety.

She has worked in the UK National Health Service where she held a number of senior regional and national roles including a Board position as Director of Healthcare Assurance & Clinical Professions in Hampshire where she established and led a new Directorate, and prepared two PCTs for their first Annual Health Check by the Healthcare Commission. She also provided leadership at Board level for nursing and allied health professionals.

Professor Gordon Stamp

Consultant Histopathologist & Professor
of Cancer Pathology

Professor Gordon Stamp is a Pathologist with over 30 years experience in a wide range of differing cancers and chronic inflammatory disorders.

He has worked in several centres of excellence including Liverpool University, Imperial College School of Medicine and the Royal Marsden Hospital, using and developing techniques in immunohistochemistry and molecular biology. Gordon has a wide network of surgical pathologists and academic colleagues ensuring HSC patients receive the very best service.

Dr Robin Jones

Has a private and an NHS practice at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London.

He is a medical oncologist specialising in the treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas and Head of the Sarcoma Unit at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Dr Tom Newsom-Davis

Consultant in medical oncology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

Tom specialises in thoracic malignancies and is a member of the British Thoracic Oncology Group steering committee. Previously led the RM Partners lung cancer group, which represents 3.5m patients in South and West London. Tom has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings, and has been an invited lecturer for various organisations including the Royal College of Physicians and the Association of Cancer Physicians. In 2015, his work was awarded the Macmillan Innovation Excellence Award.

Dr Nick Maisey

Consultant in Medical Oncology at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Nick is currently the lead Medical Oncologist for oesophago-gastric cancer. He has held a number of key roles including service lead for colorectal cancer, vice chair of the upper gastrointestinal tumour working group and medical director for the South East London Cancer Network.

Mr Eric Lim

Consultant thoracic surgeon, Senior lecturer and reader of thoracic surgery, Imperial College London, Professor of Thoracic surgery, Imperial College London

Mr Eric Lim is a consultant thoracic surgeon based at Royal Brompton Hospital and a professor of thoracic surgery at Imperial College London.

Dr Mark Beresford

Professor Mark Beresford is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Lead at the Royal United Hospital Bath and has a Visiting Chair at the University of Bath. He specialises in the treatment of breast and urological cancers.
